I’ve loved the drums for as long as I can remember. Something about the visceral motion and power, and just raw expression really drew me toward it. I finally acquired a set when I was 15.(probably every kid’s most musically influential age) 14 years later I’m still as captivated, if not more, as I was all those years ago. I’ve found some great influences in drummers like Mike Portnoy, Carter Beauford, Blake Richardson, Chris Pennie, Thomas Lang, and many others.

I have been fortunate enough to play with many great musicians and try out many different styles of music. Everything I’ve heard I consider an influence in one way or another. The odd-time juxtaposed with heavy rhythms and syncopation make Progressive Rock/Metal one of the most fun types of music to play. I’ve played Hip Hop, Bluegrass, Metal, Rock, Hardcore and more and can’t wait to challenge myself with a new genre.
